                Zion Consulting is owned and operated by Ryan Schmitten. Ryan has background in a wide variety of plant growing and production. Starting at a young age working with his family’s business of tree fruit production, growing pears, apple, cherries and more. This gave Ryan his first look into the world of horticulture. Leading to many ventures in commercial plant production, from hot house tomatoes, to vegetable nursery production, Hi-density vegetable farming, all the way to rare medicinal herbs.

 In 2013 Ryan founded Zion Botanicals, an award winning cannabis brand in Washington State under the legal I-502 recreational cannabis production licensing. With years of experience in a variety of plant and cannabis production, this turned Ryan’s skills into a profession. From the ground up he developed a very distinct and unique business model. Utilizing fully automated light deprivation greenhouses, LED lighting, as well and veganic growing methods and large scale veganic outdoor production. Spearheading the next level of cannabis production.

 

Over the years Ryan has bred and developed over 100+ different strains of Cannabis, utilizing land race and Hybrid cultivars. His success showing in 2016 after winning “Best Hybrid” recreational Cannabis from the Dope Magazine awards ceremony in Washington State for his “Quantum Hammer”.

He has also developed many products along the way, leading to the formation of “Zion Garden Supply”.  Zion Garden Supply is a wholesale garden supply company providing bulk amendments, custom soil blends, fertilizers, veganic nutrients, large scale compost tea brewers, LED lighting, as well as providing complete production and processing consulting and facility design.

 

In 2020 he started Zion Mtn. Farms and Zion Mtn Seeds. One of the first Washington State Certified Organic Hempseed and Hemp Flower producers. Currently developing high CBD, CBG & autoflower Hemp varietals for large scale hemp flower and biomass production.
